Andy Renard – Contemporary Artist

Andy Renard Art. I create expressive paintings in oil and acrylic, exploring movement, emotion, and the relationship between figures and their surroundings. My work often captures moments of transition—where something is about to happen, or has just passed—using color, contrast, and layered brushwork to build atmosphere and depth.

Based in Sweden, I draw inspiration from both human connection and the natural world, allowing each painting to develop as a balance between control and intuition.

After many years as a photographer and digital artist, I have now transitioned to expressing myself through oil and acrylic paints. This shift has opened new dimensions in my creative process, allowing me to explore color, texture, and form in a more tactile manner.

In my recent works, I strive to capture emotions and moments that resonate. Each brushstroke reflects my inner world and my desire to communicate with the viewer on a deeper level.

I hope that my paintings offer you an insight into my artistic journey and evoke thoughts and feelings within you.

Recent Works

This is a selection of my most recent paintings. I’m Andy Renard, a contemporary artist working primarily in oil and acrylic. My work explores movement, emotion, and the relationship between figures and their surroundings, often through expressive color and layered brushwork.

These pieces reflect my current direction, where I continue to experiment with contrast, atmosphere, and storytelling within each composition.

About my style

My work combines contemporary figurative painting with a psychological focus. Starting from recognizable forms, I explore what lies beneath the surface — moving between calm and tension, beauty and unease.
