My art has found a new home online. I’m now on Saatchi Art, where I’ll be presenting a growing selection of my original paintings to an international audience. It’s a small step, perhaps — but an exciting one.
Yesterday marked a small but exciting step for me: my artist profile went live on Saatchi Art, together with the first of my original paintings to be presented there.
It means that my work can now be discovered not only through my own websites and social media, but also through one of the larger international online platforms dedicated to contemporary art.

Saatchi Art is an international online art gallery and marketplace where collectors can discover and buy original art from artists around the world.
For me, becoming part of Saatchi Art is another way of presenting my paintings to an international audience. My Andy Renard Saatchi Art profile will gradually grow as I add selected original works from my catalogue.
I don’t intend to upload everything at once. I’d rather build the collection gradually and select paintings that together show the different sides of my work.
My own website will remain the home of my art — the place where I maintain my catalogue, write about art and ideas in my Journal, and tell more of the stories behind individual paintings.
Saatchi Art becomes another window into that world.
Original Paintings and the Stories Behind Them
For me, painting has never been only about creating something decorative.
I’m interested in people, relationships, contradictions, humour, darkness and those slightly uncomfortable moments that can make an image stay in your mind.
Some paintings begin with an idea. Others begin with an image or a feeling and only reveal their story while I’m working on them.
As I often put it:
“I don’t paint to explain the world. I paint to make it harder to ignore.”
