Behind the Veil explores the invisible layers that shape our identities throughout life.
Memories, experiences, fears, hopes, and personal histories accumulate over time, creating veils through which we see both ourselves and others. The three faces in the painting emerge through flowing layers of color, partially concealed yet never completely hidden.
This short video offers a closer look at the textures, colors, and surface details of the original oil painting. The vertical structures were created using layers of oil paint and stand oil, allowing the paint to flow and settle into organic patterns that became an essential part of the artwork.
While the figures remain visible, they are filtered through the accumulated traces of life itself. Some layers protect us. Others conceal us. Together they shape who we become.
